I’m looking to add another P&S to my stable. So far I have a Leica Minilux and a Oly Mju II. Well, and a Lomo too, but that’s for other uses.
I’ve always liked compact cameras. Back when I was in college and had my first Mju (which was lost during World Youth Day), I always wanted either the Leica Minilux (finally got it), the Nikon 35Ti, the Minolta TC-1, or the Contax T2.
Last week, I found a Contax TVS III (unused, in the box) for damn cheap, so it got my GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome, for the uninfected) back in full infection. So should I get it? Gotta love them “barndoors”!
Or look for a Ricoh GR1 (v or s), which is according to some as the “ultimate photographers P&S” (tokyocamerastyle just featured a couple of GR1s’s):
But then again, there’s always the Minolta TC-1 (which was on my original list):

Whatever P&S you get good sirs, the best camera is always the camera that you have with you :)
"A Moscow charity concert turns bloody when armed extortionists take the head liner American pop-star Venus and the Russian President Petrov hostage. But help is on the way when the drummer from the warm-up band, a California ex-biker, and a young Russian F.S.B. agent team up to try to save the day.
But things aren’t as simple as they appear, when old ghosts from the Soviet Union appear to haunt the world…”
That my friends is the plot of Command Performance. Written and Directed by Dolph Lundgren.
and then you walk into one of the biggest bookstores in your city and YES, the teen section of the store is overrun by vampire books.
Oh GAHD, how I fear for the future.
By the way, WHY is twilight a SAGA now?
We are living in hard times.
If only I could drive silver bullets into their skulls.
But silver bullets are so expensive. What if we expose them to sunlight? That will burn them. No, wait. That will just make them sparkle. I’ve got it. What if we expose them to real literature? “Gaah! A plot that shows an appreciation of narrative structure coupled with sensible, complex characters and well-thought use of metaphors and figures of speech!” But then again, they didn’t know what real literature was in the first place, so go ahead, AhG, and make our day. Start shooting bullets into their skulls but aim carefully. Inside those skulls are very small brains.
Today, I received a new book for english class and when I went to write my name on the inside cover it said the previous owner was “Tony the Tiger” and the book condition was “Grrrrreeaat” It made me smile. MLIA
Today I took my nine year old daughter to the dentist. After every appointment the kids get to choose a reward for being good. My daughter chose a Hannah Montana pencil. I was very disappointed until she said, “I chose this so that I can laugh maniacally while I sharpen her face off.” I taught my daughter well. MLIA
Today, I was searching for the karaoke version of “I’ll Make a Man out of You” from Mulan, and instead I found the Chinese version. After 7 hours and close analysis of the lyrics, I can officially sing the whole song in Chinese. My accounting homework hasn’t even been touched. I regret nothing. MLIA
For the past 4 days, I’m just trying to memorize the Mulan Song “I’ll make a man out of you” (English Version). It got me my blog delayed but on my 1st day of class I plan to sing it to everyone. My Life Is Average.
J.J. Abrams decided to film a script with so many plot and credibility holes that it could double as a hunk of Gorgonzola; and, by his own admission, embraced a film-making sensibility that was the polar opposite of the franchise concept in order to try and hook an audience that apparently suffers from attention deficit disorder and a low IQ.
‘Star Trek’ is not ‘Star Wars’. People do not want ‘Star Trek’ to be ‘Star Wars’. If they want to watch ‘Star Wars’ then they can go and watch ‘Star Wars’.
